This chapter provides a Treasury Financial Manual (TFM) reference regarding instructions to financial institutions that participate in the Treasury Investment Program.
Title 31, Part 203 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) states that procedural instructions concerning the Treasury Tax and Loan program are contained in TFM Volume IV. (31 CFR 203.2). However, pursuant to a reorganization of the TFM, these instructions will be transferred to TFM Volume III, Part 4, which applies to depositaries and financial agents. This chapter, TFM Volume IV, Part 1, Chapter 3000, will be rescinded after conforming changes have been made to the CFR.

This transmittal letter releases a new chapter, IV TFM 1-3000: Treasury Investment Program. This chapter provides a Treasury Financial Manual reference regarding instructions to financial institutions that participate in the Treasury Investment Program.
This transmittal letter also rescinds the following TFM Volume IV release:
