DOD comprises approximately 72 percent of the Government’s reported property, plant, and equipment as of September 30, 2010. Refer to the individual financial statements of DOD, DOE, the United States Postal Service (USPS), the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), GSA, DHS, and the Department of Interior (DOI) for significant detailed information on the useful lives and related capitalization thresholds for property, plant, and equipment. These agencies comprise 89 percent of the Government’s total reported net property, plant, and equipment of $828.9 billion as of September 30, 2010.
