The CRS pilot initiative supports the Department's goal to effectively manage the U.S. government's finances. The primary objective of the CRS Pilot is to collect sufficient data to determine if it is in the federal government's best interest to permanently establish the CRS and how such service should be structured to deliver on the following objectives:
Increasing collection of current pre-delinquent receivables
Reducing the volume of delinquent debts
Reducing agency cost of collection activities to enable agency focus on mission
Leveraging of industry leading practices and techniques
Establishing a standardized federal government accounts receivable servicing approach, and
Maintaining a centralized data repository accessible government-wide
