Free training offered to FPAs, educating agencies on the TAS/BETC changes implemented within Treasury’s payment application systems. The training will include live demonstrations with a “How to” focus. The training will include a detailed review of new or changed application screens that will be applied after a FPA becomes a CARS TAS/BETC Reporter.
Each Payment Application Training Focus:
GWA/CARS: Converting FPA legacy appropriations to the component TAS/BETC
SAM: Identify FPA TAS/BETCs and the set-up of default TAS/BETC accounts
SPS: Entry and Certification of Payments using the TAS/BETC reporting requirements
ITS.gov: Processing of International Payments using the TAS/BETC reporting requirements
Target Audience: Individuals who have access to or frequently use the FMS Programs/Application including: Certifying Officers, Accounting Staff, Disbursing Officers, Data Entry Operators, Management, or those who access or utilize GWA, SAM, SPS or ITS.gov.
In support of the CARS reporting deadline of October 1, 2014, Payment Management will provide TAS/BETC Preparedness Training Sessions to educate agencies on the TAS/BETC changes implemented within Treasury’s payment application systems. These sessions will focus on live demonstrations of the payment applications, concentrating on how the addition of TAS/BETC information affects the application. ASAP will participate in the following session dates.
